SafeBoot Content Encryption |
| |
| SafeBoot Content Encryption is a unique software for encryption of files and folders on local hard disks, file servers and removable media. It fulfills the information secuity need for any organisation, being extremely easy-to-use and fully user transparent. Using the same administration tool as for the other SafeBoot products, encryption keys, encryption policies and settings are easily, yet effectively, centrally managed. SafeBoot Content Encryption enforces full encryption persistance of encrypted data, providing for supreme user friendliness and full system transparency.

| With SafeBoot Content Encryption, your information stays secure even if ending up in wrong hands. SafeBoot Content Encryption covers four security needs in one product:
| |
Local file and folder encryption
Server file and folder encryption (without installing any software on servers!)
Encryption on removable media
Encryption of e-mail attachments
| |
Transparent file and folder encryption to any media SafeBoot Content Encryption is the latest generation of file and folder encryption software with several unique competitive advantages. It encrypts files and folders transparent to the end user according to centrally defined policies. Files can be encrypted on any media, e.g. local hard drives, network shares, USB memory sticks, terminal services environments or DVDs.

| User friendliness - no disruption of user working procedures SafeBoot Content Encryption is extremely user friendly. The user interaction is an absolute minimum, the user barely perceives that data is encrypted. Users are not forced to change their working procedures when working with encrypted information. All that "bothers" the users is the authentication dialog, from time to time. In all other aspects, like editing, copying, moving, creating documents, the users work "as usual" and the encryption is executed, and follows along unnoticed, in the background.

| |
Total encryption persistence Competing solutions fail in encryption persistence, i.e. the possibility to keep a file or folder encrypted no matter to what media, disk or drive it is moved or copied. SafeBoot Content Encryption enforces 100% true encryption persistence, transparent to the user of course. This indeed contributes to the supreme user friendliness in SafeBoot Content Encryption.

Central point of administration SafeBoot Admin is a powerful central administration tool for configuring the SafeBoot Content Encryption clients, thereby gaining full control of the organizational encrypted environment. The tool assigns encryption keys, encryption policies (folder and file type encryption), and encryption settings and privileges transparently to the users.
| |
Common and robust administration tool SafeBoot Content Encryption clients are centrally managed via the SafeBoot Admin tool, i.e. the same tool that manages all other SafeBoot products. This provides for a true central point of security administration. In addition, the highly robust SafeBoot Admin tool has proved to scale to user populations of several hundreds of thousands of users.

Automatic encryption of the pagefile The Windows pagefile is automatically encrypted when SafeBoot Content Encryption is installed. Neither the user, nor the system administrator, can disable or configure this. Other solutions fully miss this, or have it as an option, which is not recommended.
| |
Powerful encryption For all supported devices, SafeBoot encrypts the data with very strong and proven algorithms like RC5-1024 and AES-256. Encryption and decryption is done transparantly and on the fly with virtually no performance loss.
| |
Support for several hardware authentication tokens SafeBoot Content Encryption can use any of the tokens supported by SafeBoot Device Encryption for strong two-factor authentication to the encryption keys.
| |
Offline files Offline files can be encrypted either locally only, or locally and centrally. The user can easily choose setup. Competing solutions do not support this feature.
| |
Compressed files Compressed files can be encrypted like any regular file. Most competing solutions cannot address this.

Encrypt files and folders at original location - keep original file extensions SafeBoot Content Encryption encrypts files and folders at the original location, i.e. no special folders or dedicated drives are created for storage of encrypted data. Also, files keep their original extension even when encrypted - no special file formats or extensions are created. This provides for high system transparency and supreme user friendliness.
