One of the pre-requisites of a user is Digital Signature Certificate (DSC), obtained from a licensed Certifying Authority (CA) like SafeScrypt. A DSC is required to digitally sign electronic forms. Certifying Authorities in India are licensed under the Indian Information Technology Act (IT Act 2000) to issue DSCs. A Digital Signature affixed via a DSC is recognized by the Indian IT Act which is equivalent to a physical signature.
